Plant report & Bunny Finish

Good Morning!

Can't believe it has been a week since I last blogged. The weather has been a bit better here so I have been doing some planting -- planted zinnia and bachelor button seeds in one of my wagons I have down by the creek a few days ago, so when the sun comes up in the front of the house I wheel the wagon out of the garage and around 5 I put it back in the garage and cover it up. I am hoping in a few days I will see some little seedlings. I usually plant these up with plants but I decided since I am home and seeds are cheaper why not give it a try. I also planted some geraniums in the house and they are doing great. Instead of $3 a plant - I have almost 20 little plants for $1.98 - I have done this before and they usually bloom late June -- so you don't have that instant gratification, but you do feel good about the fact that you grew them yourself. I also have Geraniums I put in the basement, today is their lucky day, I will be bringing them up and getting them ready for the year. I enjoy this time of year - seeing everything coming up.

I did manage to get another UFO complete! This is a Schnibbles from last years Year of Small Projects - I had the top put together but it needed quilting so I got that done this past week and just finished the binding. Not sure if I will use it on my dining room table or as a wallhanging, most likely the table.

I got a bit daring with my quilting -- I quilted a small flower free hand and then did about 5 echo quiltings around it -- I am really happy with it. Machine quilting is getting easier but you really need to just practice, practice, practice and it does pay off.

I have a small St Patty's Day UFO I am working on now, hope to get that ready to bind tonight during the Amazing Race.

Have a great Sunday
Happy Stitches
Dorothy

That's very pretty! I love the colors. Now, I will have to stop myself from making one (at least until I finish the three wips waiting to be finished)!

My geranium is our only indoor flower that's bloomed - it was fantastic! We really needed that beautiful hot pink streak last month. Now it's March with no end to winter in sight & I'm wishing I had more geraniums :)
