Good Morning!
Most folks have a 3 day weekend, I am working today but will have Sunday and Monday off :)
We are going to my sister in laws house on the lake tomorrow and I plan to sew on Monday.
I have been working for the past 3 summers and have had to work part of each Holiday weekend, but there are some changes going on where I work, so this is the last Holiday weekend I will need to be working on! So I am super excited that I will be getting that part of my life back. So working today is not that bad. Dear Hubby and I plan to find a little trailer this winter - and fix it up and next summer we will be glamping ( glamour camping) in our little trailer with Rudy and Poochie! I can't wait! So see when you have a plan working one day on the Holiday weekend isn't so bad. And hey in this economy just having a job is a blessing.
I hope you have a great weekend ...whatever you are doing!

Le Petite Project and More
Good Morning!
Today is Sept 1st and we need to show our Le Petite Project for August...now I am not a beginner quilter so I thought this would be fairly easy.....WOW was I wrong, I either had the wrong ruler or just plain had a stupid attack on this one. I ripped, I ripped, I said bad words, I tore some fabric and all I wanted to make was a table topper..... And this is what I manage to get done.....yes 1 block and many scraps to throw in a dog bed. I think I will make this into a pincushion. I sure hope this months project is a little easier :)

The 2 charm packs arrived yesterday from Bear Paws Quilts and more - it was my prize for last months Le Petite -- thank you so much! I already have an idea for these.
Here is a tote bag I made -- I got 2 ziploc bags of pre cut squares at a thrift shop for 75 cents each and this is one of the tote bags I made using some of the squares. I have enough squares to make 2 more totes! A great deal I say!
I gotta get going to work today, but before work it is First Thursday so I am meeting my quilting friends for breakfast!! And this will probably be the last month I will be working so soon I will be able to sew with them in October.
Have a fantastic day!

Another UFO finish!!
Good Morning!
I have been busy this past week. And I have another UFO complete!! This one is about 8 years or so old. I did a mystery quilt at a LQS and I lost some of my blocks, so I completed the mystery and called it Still A Mystery to Me! And I had all this fabric left over and lots of 4 patches, so I created this little quilt - it measures about 30 x 44 - but I did not have any more fabric for the border, so I was in Hobby Lobby a few weeks back and there it was!! AWESOME! so I bought some and I thought I had purchase enough for the border and the binding WRONG, I was one 2 1/4 inch strip short!! So on the way to dinner Saturday night we stopped and another Hobby Lobby and I got another 1/4 yard and last night during Big Brother I finished up the binding! This would be a cute little blanket for a baby boy.
I was also very lucky this month, the Le Petite Project I belong to was very generous to everyone who made the project last month. Carrie from Miss Rosie and Company sent everyone 2 Layer cakes and a pattern, my pattern was a pincushion kit from Primitive Gatherings and I have already started on it- so I will show that when it is complete. I was thrilled about this -- so today is my day off this week and I need to work on the project that needs to be on our blogs by Sept 1st!!
Here are my 2 layer cakes: Cool huh?
Still plugging away things for my craft shows coming up, this is a simple pattern call Orgami - I just love the sunflowers!
Well I hope you are having a great day!

Friday Night Sew in
Good Morning!
I participated in the Friday Night Sew in this month, I did cheat a little, I was off on Thursday so I quilted this top from a few years ago and just bound it last night, but it is DONE!!!
I measures about 36 x 36 so it is a great table topper or wall hanging. Can't wait to decide where to put it.
I am of Sunday - Tuesday this weekend, and I have 5 table toppers waiting to be bound, so be prepared, for a little finish show in a couple of days!
Take care I am off to work!

Did you watch the Bachelorette last night?
Good Morning!
Well did you watch the Bachelorette last night? I did - I was hoping it was JP and is was!! I felt so bad for Ben, proposing and all - first time you ever really saw someone get angry and I am sure that was a real feeling for him. Well I wish them the best, was not a huge fan of Ashley but she did grow on me while watching. Her sister was really something, can't believe she did not like JP and now she does.
Sunday we went to one of the county fairs in our area, I really could live on a farm and be quite happy, we live in the country just not enough land for all the animals I want.
Here are some piggys in the pig races, so cute - you just want to squeeze those little cheeks!!

Here are 2 cute bunnies, they sure look hot it was 90+ degrees on Sunday but they sure were cute!

I have been sewing, I had made these blocks over 10 years ago for a BOM and they have just sat in my UFO pile and I am determines to get some of these UFO's moved out -- So I made them into candle mats.
My Godson is away at boot camp and I bought a patriotic picture frame for his mom, my BFF since we were kids, so I mailing one of these off to her. I have some craft shows coming up soon so I have been sewing and getting lots done, I will share more tomorrow.

I am off today and it is going to be 95 today, so I will be sewing in the creation station today!
